KCSA Infusions for Mood Disorders

Outpatient infusions at KCSA have proven effective for treating a range of mood disorders. These include:

  • Treatment resistant depression
  • Suicidality (As many as 80% of our patients experience a reversal in suicidal ideation after only one infusion)
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Anxiety and Panic Attacks
  • PTSD
  • OCD
  • Post-Partum Depression

We recommend our standard series of six 40-minute infusions over a period of 3-weeks, as this protocol offers the most sustainable remission from symptoms. A maintenance infusion every few weeks thereafter is advisable to prevent relapse and, having experienced the benefit of the infusions, most patients are eager to attend for these. Remember that like any antidepressant medication, infusions are a treatment and not a cure for mood disorders.

At KCSA we understand that patients may be anxious about starting their infusions. We offer pre-treatment sessions with our Clinical Psychologists that are specifically targeted to help alleviate anxiety through psycho education and relaxation techniques.

Our psychologists are available after infusions to assist patients with meaning making and emotional release using a variety of techniques and therapies.

Please look at the FAQ’s for details about the infusion experience.
