Dr Howard is an Emergency Physician and president of the Society of Ketamine Practitioners of South Africa (SOKePSA). Dr Howard is responsible for clinical development and protocols at all KCSA branches and requires compliance with the highest safety standards.

Mark has over thirty years’ experience inretail operations, brand sales, marketing and product procurement. Mark is focused on developing new innovative business, with the aim to scale and extract maximum value for shareholders.

Mike Good (Commercial Director)

Mike Good (Commercial Director)

Mike holds a B.Com degree in marketing and economics. He has gained experience across diverse industries with a strong focus on networking, sales, sourcing, business growth and development.

Devon Nash (Financial Director)

Devon Nash (Financial Director)

Devon holds a B.Com degree in investments and economics and an honours degree in economics. He is completing his studies as a Chartered Financial Analyst. Devon has a versatile business background. His core focus has been in Corporate Finance, sales, IT, and strategic planning.

Michele Howard (Patient Liaison)

Michele has a background in business administration and management. She also plays a vital role in patient liaison and human resources.

Di Duckworth

Di Duckworth (National Nursing Manager)

Besides for her hands-on clinical work at the Hilton and Umhlanga branches of KCSA, Di is responsible for overseeing the nursing services at all KCSA branches. Di has been a part of KCSA since its inception and her input is always invaluable.

Dr Maria Dobreva (Specialist Psychiatrist) 

Dr Maria Dobreva (Specialist Psychiatrist) 

Dr Maria Dobreva is a specialist psychiatrist with over 25-years’ experience in private practice. She is a strong advocate for the use of outpatient ketamine infusions in psychiatry and serves on the board of the Society of Ketamine Practitioners of South Africa (SOKePSA).

Dr Juan-Mari Kruger (Specialist Psychiatrist)

Dr Juan-Mari Kruger (Specialist Psychiatrist)

Dr Juan-Mari Kruger is a specialist psychiatrist in private practice in the Western Cape. Dr Kruger has a stellar academic background having fostered her interest in psychiatry back in 2013 completing a Diploma in Mental Health, followed by a fellowship and master’s degree in psychiatry, and an MBA (Cum Laude) from Stellenbosch University. Her research included profiling suicidal patients, and she has worked extensively in both general and forensic psychiatry. Dr Kruger refuses to tell her patients battling depression that ‘no further treatment options exist’, hence her interest and excitement about outpatient ketamine infusion therapy.

Hèlet Boustred (Registered Counsellor)

Hèlet is a registered psychological counsellor with a particular interest in trauma and specific training in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy. Hèlet believes that the infusions offered at KetaMind clinics can allow patients to move forward in their lives with an adjusted mindset. Hèlet is a valuable asset to the KetaMind Care Team and we encourage patients to use her services on a virtual platform or face-to-face. Hèlet is based in Stellenbsosch.

Andrea Kellerman (Educational Psychologist)

Andrea Kellerman (Educational Psychologist)

Andrea is a registered Educational Psychologist who has been working with children and adults for the past 30 years. She has formerly worked as a qualified teacher and has lectured and taught children and adults at school, college and university level. After having studied psychology, hypnotherapy and neurofeedback/brain training, she worked in hospitals, a crisis centre and private practice where she has helped many people who suffer from anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, eating disorders, concentration problems, ADD/ADHD along with other conditions.
She has been published in magazines and newspapers.

Lauren Calder (Counselling Psychologist)

Lauren Calder (Counselling Psychologist)

Lauren has an established practice in KZN and has specialized in Transpersonal Psychology. She applies mindfulness based cognitive therapy to wellness, stress, depression, and anxiety.

Roelien Wiesner (Registered Social Worker & Counsellor)

Roelien Wiesner (Registered Social Worker & Counsellor)

Roelien brings to KetaMind her vast experience in trauma counselling, particularly where childhood trauma, depression and suicidality are concerned. Having worked for more than a decade for the National Prosecuting Authority and Family Advocate, Roelien has ‘seen it all’ and has been impressed by the beneficial effects of ketamine infusion in traumatised and suicidal children and adolescents. Now in private practice, Roelien is available to offer counselling to KetaMind’s patients on a face-to-face or virtual basis. She is based in Pietermaritzburg.

Dr Mansfield is a clinical psychologist with many years’ experience in both private practice and as a university lecturer. He specialises in clinical neuropsychology. Dr Mansfield serves on the board of the Society of Ketamine Practitioners of South Africa (SOKePSA).

Dr Greg Stewart (Clinical Director)

Dr Stewart is a graduate of Wits medical school and spent six-months during 2020 in the Department of Anaesthesiology at the Johannesburg Academic Hospital. He finds treating resistant mood disorders with KetaMind infusions extremely rewarding.

Tasneem Amod

Dr Amod joined KCSA in 2021. She has a postgraduate diploma in Anaesthesiology and has proved a very valuable addition to the Bedfordview team.

Dr Duvel is an experienced sedationist with a postgraduate diploma in Sedation and Pain Management to compliment her medical and medical science degrees. She is a member of The South African Society of Anaesthesiologists (SASA). Dr Duvel is a valuable addition to the Bedfordview KetaMind clinic.

Jordan is a warm-hearted and conscientious individual with a passion for mental health. She prides herself on empathy and effective communication. Her diverse employment background in administration, brings a variety of skills to the table. Jordan's coordination and communication will ensure the smooth running of the clinic as well as quality patient support/service.

Phyl is a registered nurse with experience in several African countries and the UK. She has attended training in the use of KetaMind infusions for mood disorders and chronic pain and joined KCSA in October 2020.

Sheila is an enrolled nurse with years of experience in High Care and ICU environments in several major hospitals in Gauteng. Sheila attended training in the use of KetaMind infusions for mood disorders and chronic pain and joined KCSA at the end of 2020.

Taryn has a special interest in Anaesthesia, Critical Care, Chronic pain as well as Mental Health.
She enjoys her work at KCSA as it combines two disciplines which she is extremely passionate about - namely mental health and anaesthetics/sedation. Taryn is also a member of SOKePSA.

Dr Gilbert is a Medical Practitioner with many years’ experience managing psychiatric patients. He also has advanced life support skills and has instructed doctors on the ATLS ® course of the American College of Surgeons.

Asanda has a background in administration and joined KCSA Hilton in February 2022. As the first point of contact at the clinic, she is committed to providing excellent service to all our patients and the smooth running of the Hilton branch.

Sue Firth (Clinical Psychologist)

Sue Firth (Clinical Psychologist)

We are fortunate to have Sue on the Hilton team. She is available to provide support and containment sessions both at enrolment for KetaMIND treatments and after infusions. Pre-treatment sessions focus on alleviating anxiety and post treatment sessions address meaning-making and emotional release.

Di Duckworth

Di Duckworth (PN)

Di has extensive experience in critical care, trauma, surgical, ICU and cardiac care nursing. She was unit manager of the Intensive Care Unit at a private hospital in Pietermaritzburg and has also worked in the USA. Di has attended training in the use of KetaMIND infusions for mood disorders and chronic pain.

Erika has both general and ICU nursing experience in South Africa and the UK. She has successfully completed a post graduate pharmaceutical dispensing course and has attended training in the use of KetaMIND infusions for mood disorders and chronic pain. Erika joined KCSA in December 2019.

Janet brings many years’ nursing experience to the Hilton Branch and has attended training in the use of KetaMIND infusions for mood disorders and chronic pain.

Dr Andy Geard (Clinic doctor)

Dr Geard is a well-known physician in the Umhlanga region and for many years ran a busy Emergency Department at a local private hospital. He serves on the KZN ATLS faculty and regularly teaches advanced life-support skills to doctors. KCSA is fortunate to have someone with Dr Geard’s experience on board.

Dr Boyd comes to KCSA with both a postgraduate diploma in anaesthesiology and a fellowship in Emergency Medicine. KCSA Umhlanga is fortunate to have someone with Dr Boyd’s extensive experience on the team.

Dr Dayaram is well known in the Umhlanga area and his medical degree is complimented by postgraduate diplomas in both anaesthesiology and emergency medicine, as well as an M.Sc.(Med). Dr Dayaram joined Umhlanga KetaMind in 2022 and offers regular sessions at the clinic. He is a member of SOSPOSA.

Ingrid has extensive experience in Administration, HR and Accounting.
She contributes to the Umhlanga KCSA Clinic’s philosophies and values.
As the first point of contact, she provides a listening ear and guiding hand in supporting patients through the treatment process/journey.

Marie has a wide scope of nursing experience since the early 80’s at several hospitals and clinics in KZN. She attended training in the use of KetaMIND infusions for mood disorders and chronic pain in 2020 and joined KCSA Umhlanga in 2021.

Leisa Alertyn (PN)

Leisa has over 34 years' nursing experience in the following fields of nursing: Ante & post natal Clinics, primary health and occupational health clinics, Michaelhouse Sanatorium. She has been involved in outdoor adventure trips to the Berg as a medic for a variety of different schools, as well as a medic for various events ie Oxpecker, Berg & Bush and Run the Berg.

Dr Smit has extensive experience in general practice and community medicine, as well as a postgraduate diploma in anaesthesiology. He has a special interest in ADHD, depression, addiction, and rehabilitation support through his association with SANCA.

Dr Hashim is a UCT graduate with a postgraduate diploma in anaesthesiology. She has also completed an advanced airway management course at Wits and we are delighted to have her on board at our Constantia KetaMind clinic.

Dr Dudukay is a caring and diligent doctor whose post-graduate diploma and experience in anaesthesia compliments her life-support certifications. We are delighted to have her as a valuable member of the Constantia KetaMind team.

Kathryn has extensive and diverse business experience, as well as a passion for mental health and exploring innovative breakthroughs in this field. She ran her own Life-Coaching business after studying at the UCT Graduate School of Business before joining KetaMind in 2023. With Kathryn at the helm, KetaMind Paarl is in excellent hands.

Dr Harvey comes to KetaMind with a post graduate diploma in anaesthesiology and a certificate in pain aetiology and management from the British Pain Society. She has extensive experience in both general anaesthesia and sedation.

Dr Smuts is a UP graduate who has successfully completed a post graduate diploma in anaesthesiology, as well as trauma and cardiac life support courses. Since graduating, she has spent time gaining experience in emergency medicine and oncology and we welcome her as a valuable addition to the Paarl KetaMind team.
